What can you do with stories?

Storytelling for children

Are you a teacher with a class looking for a storyteller? Or a parent searching for a birthday party with a twist? I have a great deal of experience working with young people and children from all ages and backgrounds. I am also a qualified Forest Schools leader, so if you would like to combine stories with environmental education, bushcraft or nature connection I will gladly run a session for you.

I am PVG checked and hold an outdoor first aid qualification.

Storytelling for adults

Storytelling is not just for children, if you are looking for a performer for a festival, a party, a fireside gathering in the woods, a library, a community centre or care home then please get in touch to book me.

Workshops

Are you a teacher, educator or youth worker interested in integrating more outdoor learning, nature connection or storytelling to your practice? I would be happy to run a training course with you on a variety of subjects including storytelling, fire lighting and bushcraft or outdoor and environmental games.

Storytelling works well as a skill within business and the corporate world, too. We’re all storytellers, let me help you awaken your inner bard with some bespoke training or workshop.

Collaborations

I love working with other artists to deliver events – if you would like to collaborate with me on a project or discuss some potential ideas then please get in touch.

Young Edinburgh Storytellers

I am part of a troupe of storyteller-musicians known as the Young Edinburgh Storytellers and perform alongside storytellers Ailsa Dixon and Mark Borthwick. We have a repertoire of performances available for bookings, including our five star, award winning show, Land Under Wave, which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 to critical acclaim.

“An original and densely woven narrative from the beginnings of life to the ends of it, underscored by a magical folk session… The whole package is a potent response to the Anthropocene and what they describe as a need to rewild the human race with stories that reassert the true value of life.”
★★★★★ – The Scotsman

“The whole show is consistently powerful, blending past and present to produce an effortlessly stirring piece of folk storytelling.”

“Land Under Wave is as fluid a storytelling experience as the waters they entrench themselves. Alluring, tempting out the audience’s inner forms, ripples of change cast into the pools of history and folklore may take aeons to form waves, but once the momentum builds it’s only inevitable that freedom is to follow; a calming, enriching experience for any audience.”
